Digital Discipleship: Transforming Ministry Through Technology.
Dr. Caroline Cerveny, SSJ-TOSF, D.Min is president and founder of Interactive Connections a faith-based educational technology service for catechetical ministries. Her passion is to engage catechetical ministers in the integration of technology into everyday ministry with youth and adults. This marriage between ministry and technology empowers her to bring new tools and media to build God’s kingdom. She brings the experience of teaching at the high school and college levels, involvement in parish religious education as a diocesan director and consultant, parish pastoral associate, and involvement in educational technology in the publishing industry. She has written articles that focus on educational technology in catechetical ministry for Catechist Magazine, Liturgical Catechesis, Momentum, Today’s Catholic Teacher, Today’s Parish, and NCCLs Catechetical Leader publication.
What is the dream and mission of INTERACTIVE CONNECTIONS?
To empower ministers to use the new technologies in their learning ministries by providing an annual conference, learning workshops and consultation on the use of new media.
To bring colleagues together for conversations and networking in order to use new media in our learning and evangelization ministries.
If you would like to join an online community with other ministers who are interested in sharing their insights and questions with one another, go to http://digitalcatechesis.ning.com. This is a “private” online discussion group for those who are interested in integrating technology into their ministry.
